Rival 100 player Xavier Betts.  Wide Receiver out of Bellevue West.

He received an offer from the Huskers nearly a year and half prior, on Oct. 25, 2017, becoming the first in-state player Nebraska offered in the 2020 class.

Betts, who participated in one of the Huskers' Friday Night Lights camps in June 2017, remained a target of the new Husker coaching staff under Scott Frost.

He had 48 catches for 856 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior season. Betts has 2,145 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns for his career.

A big, fluid receiver, Betts is in the discussion to be the state’s best overall skill prospect since Niles Paul, meaning he had plenty of opportunities to look elsewhere. At the time of his commitment, he was known to have scholarship offers from fellow Big Ten schools Iowa, Minnesota and Purdue. He also held a Power Five offer from Iowa State.

He ranks No. 2 on Mike Sautter's list of the state's best prospects in the 2020 class.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I've heard he has a lot of work to do in the classroom, but hopefully committing early means the staff will help him to make sure he gets qualified.

regardless it sounds like the kid has a lot of talent, and still room to grow as a WR, and always important to lock down the few scholarship worthy top recruits in state
