Looks like this era is over after an embarrassing 24 point loss to a terrible Penn State team.
Let this abomination unto the Lord begin!

Yep, play out the string and hope Moos can bring in a big name. The mid major hiring theme has produced terrible results so hopefully Hoiberg or Matta want to get back into coaching.

I've always thought that all NU needed was the right coach to get things going for nebrasketball.

that doesn't appear to be Miles.

he's had more than enough time to show what he's capable of.  there's been a lot of red flags through the years with both players transferring out and assistant coaches leaving quite often.  I realize that transfers are a big part of today's CBB, and there are transfers from other schools on NU's roster, but it seems that there's more to the story in Lincoln behind the scenes.

anyway, this was probably Miles' most talented and experienced group, and he's pretty much shit the bed.  they weren't looking like they should even before the Roby injury.  plus, the depth is horrendous, there's basically shit for a bench.

I'll be interested to see who Moos can bring in to replace Miles

Hoiberg gets us over the hump faster with transfers and JC's. There is not an abundance of talent in or near Nebraska. This is the way to get up and going.

Rumors from another board indicate that there have been overtures made towards Hoiberg and there is interest from his side. It is just rumors at this point but who the hell knows?

Ironically enough, while NE isn't rife with prospects, their recruiting class is highly predominantly because of recruits from the state.

Facilities are good, with The Bank, fan support is mostly there, NU has some money.  Is it just a name coach that is needed to build a reputation and tradition at a football/gymnastics/shooting/bowling school?
