Reading the series as a means of having to chat about with one of my great-nieces (cue the old man jokes).

Anyone's thoughts on the series?

The upcoming movie?

A couple ladies from work took their older teenage daughters to see it. Both Mothers said they didn't like it.

That's all I got.

Books were good but under developed. Lacked a lot of description and scenes occasionally took big leaps. Kept me interested enough 'til the end of the series. Didn't understand why she chose to include a few things, either.

Good book for teens - young adults to read, especially if they discuss it with someone afterwards. The subject matter should really light a fire in their heads.

I much preferred The Long Walk by Stephen King as Richard Bachmann, but then again I read that first and while I was a teenager so it had a better chance to make an impression on me. Or there's Running Man or I'm sure a slew of others set in a dystopic future where people are forced to participate in a one person survives event for the amusement of others.

I liked it better when it was called Running Man and stared the former governor of California.

Read all three.

Wasn't any sort of epiphany, but was entertained.

Will be able to chat with the great-niece about the serries now, which was the purpose to begin with.

Read the books and liked 'em well enough. Nothing spectacular but kept me entertained. Saw the movie Tuesday. Same thing...decent. Entertaining but not memorable. I was hoping Katniss would be hotter.

You like tomes geared towards teenage girls? Good to know.

Running has an uncanny ability to mellow the soul, to take the edge off hard feelings, and put things back into healthy perspective.
Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with... up close! It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them.

Good to know.

Hunger Games is a fortelling of what will happen if Romney is elected.

not really, but I hear the democrats are making a commercial about it.
