The "official" official NFL Combine invite list
Just so you know, the NFL sent 327 invites to former college players for the combine, which is Indianapolis Feb. 22-28. The latest list shows 45 players from the Big Ten including four -- DT Jared Crick, LB Lavonte David, DB Alfonzo Dennard and OL Marcel Jones -- from Nebraska.
Wisconsin (8), Penn State (7) and Iowa (7) had the most invited from the Big Ten. The SEC had 53 players invited, including nine from national champion Alabama.
I find it interesting that of the 327 players invited last year, only 254 were actually drafted. So getting an invite to the combine is no guarantee.
I'd have to think David and Crick will make somebody's NFL roster. Dennard reportedly didn't have a very good Senior Bowl week, so he has some work to do in Indy. Jones would have to be a long shot.
Some fans think Nebraska isn't producing as much NFL-caliber talent as it used to. With just four players invited to the combine, is that proof? Or is this just a year where a lot of good Husker talent is just underclassmen?

Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with... up close! It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them.
