Calahan's recruiting "prowess" was trumped by his idiot coaching. Carry on.
Bo's is trumped by his lack of assistant coaches and lack of player developement

True, but no one I know wants to suck his dick the way Suzie lusts anter Bill C.

I actually was giving Bo a backhanded compliment. If Callahan can bring in ONE top five class class at NU then there is no reason Bo can't do the same.

One top five, that's it. The southern schools continually get top 5 classes. Until the states school associations in the north treat football like the southern states do, they will not produce football players that can win MNC's on a regular basis like they do in the south.

He also had a #13 class and was positioned for a top ten class in 08 (B Gabbert/Hoch/Reiff) before the bottom dropped out. Bo's average class ranking to date is #24. Average. Just like the product on the field. It can be done with or without connecting flights. Maybe not top five every year but consistant top 15 is possible and should be expected for a program with elite facilities and who ranks in the top four in all time wins.
"We play to win Championships. If you don't win a Championship it isn't a successful season." Bo's comments during fall camp 2011.

"We didn't win a championship but it isn't always about winning championships." Bo Pelini responds after finishing the regular season 9-3 and a third place finish in the Legends Division.

"We don't point the finger around here we point the thumb." Bo Pelini responds after another sluggish offensive performance. Not sure which game since our offense is always fucking awful.

"I think we can be real stout against the run, and I think our secondary is going to be really good. I mean, there's potential for us to have our best defense we've had here." Carl Pelini assesses the 2011 defense during spring ball.

"We played sloppy." Bo Pelini responds following 2009 TT, 2009 ISU, 2010 SDS, 2010 A&M, 2010 Holiday Bowl, 2011 CHATT, 2011 Fresno ST, 2011 Wisconsin, 2011 Northwestern, and Michigan 2011.

"We didn't execute." Bo Pelini following the 2012 Capital One Bowl.

"Next year if we don't play for the National Championship I'll probably be pretty disappointed." Taylor Martinez's comments following the conclusion of the 2011 season in which NU lost four games by an average of 19.75 points.

Man you just don't get it. It's demographics, not coaches.

And Gabbert just used the coaching change as an excuse, he was probably going to go to Mizzou anyway.

Seems like you're suggesting that despite the fact that North America hasn't shifted in the seven years since Callahan brought in a top five class and a top 13 class or during the twenty-five years under Osborne who was also able to regularly bring in top 15 classes we're suppose to just forget about recruiting at the highest level going forward just because Bo is too goddamn lazy. Last I checked Oregon and Washington aren't located in recruiting hotbeds either and they seem to have no issues bringing in elite talent year after year. Neither of those schools have our history and fan support. But they have dynamic coaches who are tireless recruiters.

Maybe Bo should concentrate on securing the top talent surround the State of Nebraska first and foremost. Have you noticed NU's dip in recruiting of state of Missoui since Bo took over? Two months ago I detailed the lack of effort being put into securing talent in the surrounding states. Hard to listen to Bo's tale of woe regarding connecting flights when he's not putting in the necessary work at home.

If what you're saying is that we're never going to recruit at the highest level any longer then we might as well just start looking for a replacement for Bo right now since after all it's one thing to not be able to recruit and it's another thing altogether to not be able to turn average talent into a Championship level product. He better figure out a way to do one or the other quickly, fd. Because right now we're not getting elite recruits or player development based on the 08 and 09 classes and the results on the field.

And you are dead wrong about Gabbert. Blaine even reached out to Bo shortly after he took the job to gauge NU's level of interest and Bo said thanks but no thanks.

btw...Nebraska has the 7th best recruiting class of all schools outside of the south and california.

You do realize that Callahan led us to a top five class and another top 15 class. His 2008 class was headed for a top ten finish. I don't remember him crying about connecting flights.

Carry on.

Yeah, and he went 5-7 twice with those all-fucking-stars.

You know, the ones you tried to call one of the biggest 5* busts of all time?

You really do want it both ways, don't you?

Tripe. Old, smelly, worn-out tripe.

Who was not even 2nd team BIG FUCKING XII under the awesome coaching provided by Callyban and his staff.

Can never admit it, can you?

Who said Bo isn't the guy responsible for developing Suh? Bo deserves all of the credit. But Billy's recruits are now gone and we've got nothing to show for all of those elite recruits. What will Bo do now? Time to lean on the 08 and 09 classes to replace three preseason AA's from a defense that underperformed last season.
