I would be thrilled if Zook ended up at NU. He has to have ties to the state of Florida and the south in general. Speed kills and NU lacks both that and an over abundance of athleticism.
You're all a bunch of fairweather fucks!

Zook's Zooking is greater than his recruiting. WE ARE ABOUT TO GET ZOOKED. his last teams sure where full of talent. dummies.

Running has an uncanny ability to mellow the soul, to take the edge off hard feelings, and put things back into healthy perspective.
Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with... up close! It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them.

I'm also hearing JP will be promoted to DC and bo will hire a new position coach that is a good recruiter to fill the staff vacancy.

This is the latest one making the rounds on numerous Husker message boards today.

I don't like this move, but -- the key will be getting an exceptional recruiter in the deal. Sorley needed, espeically if JP gives up the Recruiting Coordinator role to be the DC (which, logically, he'd almost have to).

So no matter how Bo fills this vacancy, NU has to get a sure-fire, top notch recruiter out fo the deal. Has to.

rumor today is that Zook might be the next DC

I think I would like this move more than Stoops, since Zook has been a better recruiter in his career, imo.

+1.

Additionally, there would be fewer penalties called on the sideline.

Shit, A Bo and Stoops combo on the sideline would be a great thing to see once.

the Refs would need sheriff escorts ... and here comes the best part... wait for it... hold.... hold..;.. wait..

PERLMAN WOULD FUCKING IMPLODE IN HIS VAGINA FROM SHOCK AT THE UNCOUTH BEHAVIOR. BONUS!

Bo is going to make Barney the DC. Barney knows how to stop a offense.

Dirk's Brunch Bites, Dec. 13

BY Dirk Chatelain | 12:39 am, Tuesday, Dec. 13 | POSTED IN Big Red Today Sports Blog

Urban Meyer has served notice. He doesn't intend to walk through those Big Ten doors gingerly.

Meyer landed his first two recruits as Ohio State's coach on Monday. What made these kids newsworthy? They had already committed to other Big Ten schools, one to Michigan State, one to Penn State.

Now, it's no shock when coaches pursue prospects after they've verbally committed elsewhere. But this demonstrates Meyer's recruiting prowess — and willingness to step on a few toes if necessary.

How does this impact Nebraska?

Bo Pelini is in the market for a defensive coordinator. And while an X's and O's guru would be nice, perhaps the more valuable skill is salesmanship.

Nebraska needs a guy who can compete in the living room against Ohio State and Michigan. Nebraska needs a guy like Greg Mattison, Brady Hoke's defensive coordinator who also has a reputation as one of the nation's best recruiters.

For months, Bo Pelini knew Carl might be leaving. So my hunch is Bo not only knows who he wants, but already has sealed the deal with the new hire — and is simply waiting to announce.

Perhaps it's Mushy the Excitable! — and Bo will fill the staff opening with another young coach. Perhaps it's Mike Stoops — and Bo will cede some defensive control in order to focus on managing the program.

Whoever the new guy is, he better be able to recruit. Nebraska needs more than a solid defensive scheme to keep up with Urban Meyer.

So , when Bo hires a turd, like we all know he is going to... will it be time to panic?

No, as long as the kids graduate and we win nine games a year we're supposed to be tickled pink. After all, it's the Nebraska Way.

Yeah, you're right.

We should graduate players like Georgetown graduates 41's.

You liked it better with that star-studded Caliban coaching staff, didn't you?

Why are you letting your wife post for you again?

We all know you can't spell hyperbole, much less know what it means....
