watson will shit the bed again.

Running has an uncanny ability to mellow the soul, to take the edge off hard feelings, and put things back into healthy perspective.
Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with... up close! It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them.

Oct. 23at MissouriTBA Oct. 30ColoradoTBA Nov. 6at Texas A&MTBA Nov. 13Texas TechTBA Nov. 20at BaylorTBA Nov. 27at OK StateTBA

We need them to lose to Mizzou this weekend.

Maybe they lose to Mizzou or Okie Lite but not both.
"We don't point the finger around here we point the thumb." Bo Pelini responds after another sluggish offensive performance. Not sure which game since our offense is always fucking awful.

"I think we can be real stout against the run, and I think our secondary is going to be really good. I mean, there's potential for us to have our best defense we've had here." Carl Pelini assesses the 2011 defense during spring ball.

We didn't win a championship but it isn't always about winning championships." Bo Pelini responds after finishing the season 9-3 and a third place finish in the Legends Division.

"We played sloppy." Bo Pelini responds following 2009 TT, 2009 ISU, 2010 SDS, 2010 A&M, 2010 Holiday Bowl, 2011 CHATT, 2011 Fresno ST, 2011 Wisconsin, 2011 Northwestern, and Michigan 2011.

Agree - unless they have a total brainfart against BU/Aggy/TCEH, they're the south winner.......

Dammit....

Y'all really need to worry about whether Nubb is going to be there......BlowSU and Mizzou coming up back-to-back.....unless your O coaches make some changes, we just gave the league the key to stopping Martinez.....

Very true.

We'll be seeing a lot more of Lee between now and the end of the year.

God help us.

Given history we can only beat t.u. if we face them twice in the same season. OU could be mortal this year too, lots of football left...

No, you didn't.

The rest of the league doesn't have the speed on defense you have. You can scheme all fucking day, but unless you have speed, that little cracker will light you up.

Speed on speed he's not so good yet, but then again, when every pass you throw gets fucking dropped, I guess it could get a little frustrating, especially at, what, 20 years old?

South Dakota didn't have UT's speed either and how is that watson is responsible for dropping passes, fucking Gilmore is the receivers coach, isn't he?

Meh.

Those key passes that were dropped by NU would've significantly changed the complexion of the game.

Y'all going to sign some free-agent WRs?

There's a reason defenses can ignore your passing game and concentrate on the run..........

Burkhead and Kinnie had actually been very sure handed prior to Saturday's debacle. Paul has always been an inconsistent head case.

Bottom line is Texas came in with a damn good game plan and executed it. We didn't adjust to it, we didn't cash in on the opportunities we did have...and we had several...and hence we lost.

I know a Texas fan will never admit it, but Greg Davis (isn't that your OC?) called a great game.

Both defenses took basically the same tactic, take away the successful part of the other offense's attack. The difference was that we were able to rely on the running game to make up for the taken-away pass game.

There are a number of Texas fans that give Davis his due - his offenses have something like 5 of the highest productions in Texas history.....we've struggled against really good defenses in the past, but much of that can be traced directly to execution and not so much design.....

The other side of the equasion is can UT get past OSU & KSU?

UT has the same kind of luck streak going against OSU as they have against NU except they always seem to fall 21 points behind OSU before coming back. Sooner or later that's going to end bad.

KSU could wake up on any April morning with a hardon, hangover and suicidal tendencies yet still wobble over to any football stadium in the land and come to just long enough to beat the ever loving shit out of the Longhorns.

Although making it to the Big 12 CCG against an undefeated Oklahoma and winning would certainly be better, it would also be nice to shut Texas and their fans the hell up.

Yeah, well, we kinda had that chance and let it slip through Niles Paul's fingers.
