I generally enjoy fluffy reading, and this definitely qualified. Although it was 300+ pages, so maybe "fluffy" is misleading. Whatever the case, I really enjoyed this book. Written by Max Brooks (son of Mel), it does a masterful job of presenting dozens of different voices as they all recollect their experiences during the Zombie War.

He even has an interesting philosophical point about war: that no country has ever committed to total war -- that is, fighting a war even if you have to sacrifice every man, woman, and child to do so. Except for, of course, the zombies. And therefore, in turn, humanity as well.

It's little bits like that which made this book a pleasure to read. Some of the accounts were pretty gripping. Most of the stories are mere vignettes -- a few pages at a time -- and so it's a read made even quicker by being able to digest in little chunks. But the story and the writing was good enough that I read lots of little chunks at a time.
Let this abomination unto the Lord begin!

and people are pissed... not at all like book... at all

Running has an uncanny ability to mellow the soul, to take the edge off hard feelings, and put things back into healthy perspective.
Yeah, it's a 50 caliber. They used to use it to hunt buffalo with... up close! It's only legal in two states. And this isn't one of them.

If it's a good zombie movie I'm in. Wasn't all that impressed with the book. I rate it 3/4 of a meh, so I don't see how you can fuck it up too much.
